Ahmedabad: The Sabarmati river has been witnessing heavy inflow of water, with over 1 lakh cusecs released between 12 noon and 6 pm on Monday. Due to this, the river passing through Ahmedabad city is set to carry a higher volume of water. To match the inflow, gates of the Vasna Barrage have been open for the past two days, releasing over 30,000 cusecs as of 11 pm today. Gandhinagar: Due to heavy and incessant rainfall in the upper reaches, the Sant Sarovar Dam in Gujarat's capital Gandhinagar has reached 100% capacity. As a result, the dam authorities have begun releasing water into the Sabarmati River.
