Gandhinagar: Sardar Sarovar Narmada dam, the lifeline of Gujarat today achieved the full reservoir level (FRL). With this the dam is 100 per cent full of water. The full level was achieved at 4 pm today (1st October 2025) contrary to earlier occasions when it would happen in the month of September. The designed storage capacity of Sardar Sarovar is 9460 MCM. Narmada: The water level of the Sardar Sarovar Narmada Dam has been rising continuously over the past few days due to heavy inflows from upstream. To manage the situation, 15 gates of the dam have been opened up to 1.85 metres as of 3 pm today, releasing 2.45 lakh cusecs of water into the Narmada river. Bharuch: The outflow of water released from the Sardar Sarovar Narmada dam increased to over 1.36 lakh cusecs as of 1st August morning at 5 pm in river bed of Narmada. Additional 4190 cusecs outflow was also recorded in the canal. Gandhinagar: In a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Wednesday, officials decided to carry out comprehensive inspections of all dams, big and small, across Gujarat.
