Gujarat govt buys record 12.23 lakh metric tonnes of groundnut at MSP

Gandhinagar: The procurement of Kharif crops, including groundnuts at the support price, has been completed in Gujarat. The state has recorded its highest-ever purchase of 12.23 lakh metric tonnes of groundnuts. Groundnuts worth over ₹8,295 crore have been procured from more than 3.67 lakh farmers, stated Agriculture Minister Raghavji Patel. Gandhinagar: In yet another action against corruption, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (A.C.B.) successfully conducted a decoy operation at the APMC Godown in Satlasana, Mehsana district, on January 11, 2025. The operation resulted in the arrest of Kalyanji alias Kalaji Masaji Thakor, who was caught accepting a bribe of ₹4,500.
