Ajwa Reservoir in Vadodara overflows as water level crosses 211 feet

Vadodara: Ajwa Sarovar (reservoir) overflowed today after heavy rainfall lashed its catchment area on Sunday. As per standard protocol, the reservoir’s gates are fixed at 211 feet until August 15. However, this morning the water level rose to 211.45 feet at 6 am, further increased to 211.50 feet at 12 noon, and reached 211.66 feet by 3:30 pm, causing excess water to overflow above the gates.
