Gujarat@75: Agenda for 2035 unveiled; AI-based education, ₹7.5 lakh crore infra part of development plan

Gandhinagar: As Gujarat approaches its 75th anniversary in 2035, the state government today unveiled the document ‘Gujarat@75: Agenda for 2035’ to outline the development roadmap for the next decade.
The document was unveiled by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, who said that this milestone celebrates Gujarat’s achievements and reflects the state’s commitment to the future, in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Developed India@2047. He added that this agenda will guide government efforts over the next decade to achieve the goal of “Earning Well, Living Well” for every citizen of Gujarat.
As per an official statement, ‘Agenda for 2035’ report outlines the state’s goals on its 75th anniversary and the strategies to achieve them. Its objective is to accelerate progress in health, education, skills, entrepreneurship, infrastructure, and environmental sustainability, while ensuring balanced and inclusive development across all districts. The agenda reaffirms the government’s commitment to the motto “Prosperous State; Capable Citizens.”
Gujarat@75: AI-based education in 7,500 schools, 75 advanced skill institutes, and creation of 7.5 million jobs
Educated and skilled youth are the backbone of Gujarat’s development, and the state will focus on empowering them. By 2035, every child in Gujarat will have access to modern, future-ready education. AI-based education will be introduced in 7,500 schools, and 75 advanced skill institutes will be established to create 7.5 million skilled jobs.
The state aims to provide quality healthcare to all, increase the number of medical colleges, establish a comprehensive digital health network, and ensure health insurance coverage for every family. These measures will play a crucial role in strengthening Gujarat’s healthcare system.
Promoting clean energy and a green future
Over the next decade, the state will develop 750 green urban areas as urban lungs, establish 7,500 Miyawaki forests, recycle 75% of municipal wastewater, and construct 75 iconic buildings. Digital governance and e-services will empower every citizen.
Aiming to become a leader in green energy and achieve net-zero targets, the state plans to focus on green energy generation, including hydrogen plants, 75 GW of wind energy, 7,500 electric buses, and extensive use of solar power over the next decade. This will promote sustainable development while creating thousands of jobs.
Prosperous farmers and rural development: By improving crop quality, value addition, and agro-processing, farmers’ incomes will rise, boosting rural prosperity.
Strengthening Gujarat as a center of innovation and entrepreneurship: By 2035, Gujarat aims to become India’s innovation powerhouse by fostering startups and entrepreneurship, taking innovation and enterprise to new heights.
Robust infrastructure for new milestones: Gujarat will invest ₹7.5 lakh crore to strengthen infrastructure in roads, irrigation, ports, transportation, water, and energy supply.
