Newly Elected Gujarat BJP Chief Jagdish Vishwakarma to Tour State from Oct 10–17

Gandhinagar: The newly elected President of the Gujarat Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jagdish Vishwakarma, will tour the state from October 10 to October 17, addressing party workers at six major conventions, according to a press release from the party’s Gujarat State Media Department.

During his visit, he will also tour several religious sites. Traditionally, well-wishers present garlands, bouquets, or mementos as a mark of respect. However, under a new initiative, Vishwakarma will instead accept educational notebooks and books during felicitation ceremonies and conventions. These will be distributed to children and students in need, the release stated.

Tour Schedule:

  • October 10: Vishwakarma will visit Ambaji Temple in the morning, followed by a workers’ convention in Palanpur. He will have lunch with Banaskantha district leaders and then proceed to Sidhpur. On the way from Sidhpur and Mehsana to Kalol, workers from various villages will greet him. He will also visit the Umiya Mata Temple at Unjha in Mehsana district. Later, in Kalol (Gandhinagar district), he will participate in a program to distribute GST relief stickers at local market shops.

  • October 11: He will address workers at the Tapi-Karyakarta Maha Sammelan in Surat. Union Minister for Jal Shakti and former Gujarat BJP President, C.R. Patil, will also be present.

  • October 14: Vishwakarma will be in Vadodara, where he will hold a rally followed by a workers’ convention. Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel will also attend.

  • October 15: He will attend the joint workers’ convention for Rajkot city/district and Morbi district in Rajkot. Along the route through Bavla, Bagodara, Limbdi, Sayla, Chotila, and Kuwadva, workers from several villages will greet him.

  • October 17: He will participate in the Leuva Patel Community Conference in Ahmedabad, followed by the party workers’ convention at the Ahmedabad Riverfront.
