Gift for Rajkot and Saurashtra Air Passengers this Diwali: More Flights to Mumbai and Delhi

Rajkot | Air travel from Rajkot and Saurashtra is set to become smoother this festive season, with additional flights being introduced to meet passenger demand during Diwali and the upcoming winter schedule. More than 10 daily flights will operate from Rajkot’s Hirasar Airport between October 26, 2025, and March 28, 2026, marking a significant boost in regional connectivity.

From this Wednesday, one more flight to Mumbai has been added. In the upcoming winter schedule, passengers will benefit from another Mumbai service and two additional Delhi flights.

IndiGo and Air India Expand Services

IndiGo Airlines is set to add two new flights under its winter schedule. Once the new Jewar Airport in Noida becomes operational in November, Rajkot–Delhi flights will shift there, ensuring continued access for passengers.

Meanwhile, Air India, which had discontinued a Mumbai service from Hirasar Airport a month ago, has reinstated the flight starting October 1.

According to Air India’s winter schedule, the following flights will operate from Rajkot:

  • AI 2285/2286 – Mumbai (8:30 AM departure)
  • AI 0885/0886 – Delhi (10:10 AM departure)
  • AI 2730/2731 – Mumbai (6:00 PM departure)
  • AI 2537/2538 – Delhi (8:00 PM departure)

Additionally, AI 2657 will arrive from Mumbai at 10:50 AM, while its return leg, AI 2658, will depart for Mumbai at 11:30 AM.

Growing Connectivity from Hirasar

Currently, Rajkot operates 11 flights daily, including eight regular scheduled flights. Apart from these, a Surat–Rajkot Ventura 9-seater service is also in operation. With the expansion in the winter schedule, air passengers from Rajkot and the wider Saurashtra region will have increased options for business and leisure travel.

The enhanced flight schedule is expected to ease festive rush during Diwali, save travel time, and strengthen air links between Rajkot and India’s two busiest hubs — Mumbai and Delhi.
