Six MoUs worth ₹283 crore inked at Vibrant Gujarat – Vibrant Banaskantha

Gandhinagar: To attract investment and foster strategic partnerships in Gujarat, the state organizes Vibrant Gujarat, which has become a model for other states in India. This year, the government is holding Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conferences, and in line with this, a district-level program under Vibrant Gujarat – Vibrant Banaskantha was held today in Banaskantha district.
During the program, a total of six MOUs worth ₹283 crore were signed on stage, including an MOU worth ₹210 crore between the Road and Building Department, Banaskantha, and SPG Infracon Private Limited. The event featured 11 help desks representing various government departments and 36 stalls displaying manufacturing products from industrial units. The dignitaries inaugurated and inspected these stalls. Additionally, a film dedicated to industries was screened, and various benefits were distributed to beneficiaries on stage by the dignitaries.
Addressing the industrialists, Speaker Shankarbhai Chaudhary stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India holds a prominent position globally. Many simplified policies have been implemented to promote exports, increase industrial growth, and encourage entrepreneurship. Campaigns such as Make in India and Made in India continuously motivate citizens to engage in industrial activities. Citizens are encouraged to adopt indigenous products and contribute to the country’s development. He urged the audience to step out of their comfort zones and start innovative business ventures to generate employment.
Shankarbhai Chaudhary emphasized that India offers a vast market for business and employment. Banaskantha holds a leading position in several sectors in the state. Industries such as marble, agro-products, and dairy have emerged as prominent contributors in the district. He encouraged adding value to products before selling and highlighted that in today’s AI-driven and virtual world, branding and marketing have become easier. Using Banas Dairy as an example, he noted that the organization has launched numerous startups and created a network worth ₹23,000 crore over the past 10 years. Banaskantha has approximately 28.5 lakh livestock, and Banas Dairy has established five CNG plants using cow dung, providing additional income to farmers while benefiting the environment. He stressed the importance of maintaining product quality, adopting innovations and new technologies, and fostering entrepreneurship. He also announced that Banaskantha will soon have the largest breeding center in India.
Industries Minister Balvantsinh Rajput stated that Vibrant Gujarat, initiated in 2003, has successfully positioned Gujarat at the forefront of development in the country. Today, 100 of the world’s top 500 companies have a presence in Gujarat, creating numerous employment opportunities for locals. Per capita income has increased from ₹18,753 to ₹2,73,000, and the state’s GDP is growing at 8.4%.
The Minister highlighted that India, once known as the “Golden Bird,” is being guided by the government and PM Modi to regain a leading position in the world. Simplified industrial policies have helped India become the fourth-largest economy globally. Gujarat has also started its first Skill University to develop youth talent. Various government schemes are supporting small entrepreneurs, and he congratulated the district administration for successfully organizing the conference.
At the event, Mamta Verma, Senior Secretary of the Industries and Mines Department, informed attendees about industrial opportunities in Banaskantha, Vibrant Gujarat initiatives, and upcoming plans. Entrepreneurs from Banaskantha shared their feedback and experiences.
It is noteworthy that Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conferences are planned across four zones in the state. The North Gujarat Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference will be held in Mehsana on 9–10 October 2025, where Micro Small Enterprise (MSE) awards will be presented across five categories.
The program was attended by MLAs Aniketbhai Thakar, Praveenbhai Mali, Mavjibhai Desai, Commissioner P. Swaroopji, District Collector Mihir Patel, District Development Officer M.J. Dave, and industrialists from the district.
