Ahmedabad: The Office of City Police Commissioner G.S. Malik today announced restrictions and diversions of traffic in the city on 5 September 2025 during the Eid Milad procession, to ensure smooth traffic management and public safety.

The procession will start from Jamalpur Habtkhan Masjid near Jamalpur Darwaja at 2:00 pm, pass through Jamalpur Chakala, J.L. High School Road, Khas Bazar Kolsa Gali, Pattharkuva Relief Road, Lal Darwaja Bijlighar, Dinbai Tower, and end at Mirzapur Qureshi Chowk.

Roads Closed for Traffic:

• From Jamalpur Crossroads towards Khamsa.

• From Raikhad Crossroads to Gol Limda Road.

• From Pankor Nanka to Lal Darwaja Road.

• From Ghee-Kanta Crossroads via Bijlighar to Lal Darwaja.

• From Delhi Chakala via Mirzapur Road, passing Lucky Hotel towards Bijlighar.

AMTS Bus Restrictions:

• No movement from Lal Darwaja to Mirzapur via Delhi Darwaja.

• No movement from Lal Darwaja via Raikhad to Khamsa towards Astodia Darwaja.

Alternative Routes:

• From Lal Darwaja via Rupali Cinema, Kama Hotel, Shahpur Crossroads towards Delhi Darwaja.

• AMTS buses from Lal Darwaja via Raikhad, turn right at Gaekwad Haveli, then Jamalpur Crossroads, Slaughter House, Geetamandir towards Astodia.

This order does not apply to pre-approved police vehicles, government vehicles on duty, fire brigade, ambulances, or vehicles involved in emergency operations.

The order will remain in effect from 2:00 pm on 5 September 2025 until the procession is complete and will be enforced by Ahmedabad Police under Section 33 of the Gujarat Police Act, 1951. Violators will be punishable under Section 223 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 131 of the Gujarat Police Act.

All officers and personnel of Ahmedabad Police, from Joint/Additional Police Commissioner to constables, are authorized to take action against violators under the above provisions. DeshGujarat
