Gujarat ranks No. 1 as India’s wind power capacity crosses 52 GW

New Delhi: India has achieved a significant renewable energy milestone, crossing 52 GW of installed wind power capacity as of July 31, 2025, according to data released by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. The country now boasts a total installed wind power capacity of 52,140 MW, reinforcing its commitment to clean energy and sustainable development.
Gujarat leads the nation in wind power installation with 14,081 MW, followed by Tamil Nadu with 11,851 MW and Karnataka with 7,760 MW. These states continue to drive India’s wind energy sector, contributing substantially to the overall national target.
