Waaree Energies begins operations at new 1.80 GW solar module plant in Gujarat

Ahmedabad: Solar equipment maker Waaree Energies has commenced production at its newly constructed 1.80 GW solar module manufacturing facility in Degam village of Navsari the company said in a stock exchange filing on Thursday, July 31.
In the filing, Waaree Energies stated, “the Company has set up 1.80 GW solar module line manufacturing facility at its factory at Village: Degam, Taluka –Chikli, Dist. Navsari Gujarat, India and has commenced operations at such facility with effect from July 31, 2025, at 10.00 am.”
Earlier this week, Waaree Energies posted robust earnings for the April–June quarter of FY26. The company’s consolidated net profit rose 20.3% sequentially to ₹745 crore from ₹619 crore in Q4FY25.
Operating performance also improved sharply, supported by greater efficiency and cost controls. EBITDA surged 73.4% quarter-on-quarter to ₹997 crore from ₹575 crore, highlighting stronger operating leverage.
The EBITDA margin expanded to 22.5% from 14.3% in the previous quarter, reflecting better realisations and internal cost optimisations. DeshGujarat
