Ahmedabad Rural Police raid Liquor Party at Glade One Farmhouse; nab 39 Youths

Ahmedabad: In a crackdown, Ahmedabad Rural Police conducted a surprise raid at a private farmhouse in Sanand near Ahmedabad late Sunday night, busting an illegal liquor party allegedly attended by members of affluent families from the city.
The raid took place at Glade-1 Farm, located on the outskirts of Sanand, where over 39 individuals, including both men and women, were detained on the spot.
According to the police, a raid was conducted at the Glade One Golf Scheme in Nanidevti village following a tip-off. The operation was carried out by officers and staff from Sanand Police Station, along with teams from Aslali, Changodar, and Bopal Police Stations. A total of 39 men and women were caught hosting and enjoying a liquor party without the required passes or permits.
The police arrested 13 accused males, while 26 accused females were served notices. Legal action was initiated against them after completing the required medical formalities, as the raid was conducted late at night.
Items seized during the raid, valued at a total of ₹90,520, included five sealed glass bottles of foreign liquor of various brands; eight half-filled open glass and plastic bottles of liquor; twenty empty glass bottles of foreign liquor; fifty-two glasses used for consuming liquor; seven hookahs with plastic pipes; thirty packs of cigarettes; and one mobile phone.
The arrested accused include Pratikbhai Subkaran Sandhi (38), Rushabhbhai Vimalbhai Dugal (38), Riteshbhai Rajanbhai Vazirani (38), Virajbhai Yagnabhai Vithlani (36), Ninadbhai Kamleshbhai Parikh (43), Atitbhai Sureshbhai Bajaj (41), Rajbhai Balkrishnabhai Agrawal (37), Nikhilbhai Surendrabhai Bajaj (38), Dushyantbhai Kishorbhai Goswami (36), Varunbhai Manojbhai Jain (36), Amitbhai Shivbhai Jogiya (36), Priyambhai Bimalbhai Parikh (37), and Sajalbhai Sanjeevkumar Agrawal (35).
According to sources, the attendees belong to some of Ahmedabad’s elite and well-known families. The gathering, which was in clear violation of Gujarat’s prohibition laws, was reportedly organised without any legal permissions.
It is learnt that officers from the Rural Police force entered the premises and found alcohol being consumed openly at that birthday party. The party was reportedly hosted by Pratik Sandhi, who is involved in the real estate business. DeshGujarat
