Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government today announced that it will purchase toor crops at the support price (MSP) in the near future. Farmers willing to sell toor at the support price will have to register online from February 3rd to 20th, 2025.
Farmers will be able to register free of cost on the e-Samriddhi portal of NAFED through VCE at e-Gram centers at the village level. A total of 206 purchase centers have been notified for the purchase of toor crops in the state, based on the area and production of the crop.
Agriculture Minister Raghavji Patel has assured that an adequate quantity of toor crops will be purchased from farmers. All advance planning has been done by the state government for the purchase. The Agriculture Minister has also requested farmers cultivating toor in the state to take full advantage of this opportunity.
It is worth mentioning that the Government of India purchases various crops from farmers at the support price under the Pradhan Mantri Annadata Aay Sansthan Abhiyan. This year, even before the sowing of toor crops, a support price of Rs. 7,550 per quintal was announced for toor, so farmers could sow crops, including toor, with peace of mind. DeshGujarat
