Police conduct checking for breach of Disturbed Area Act in parts of Rajkot

Rajkot: The city police today carried out checking and investigation in Ward No. 2 of the city, where the Disturbed Area Act has been imposed. This action comes after the MLA from Rajkot West, Darshita Shah, alleged that there were issues in the implementation of the Disturbed Area Act in Wards 1, 2, 3, and 7, which fall under her constituency. The police today carried out checks in Ward No. 2, including areas such as Subhash Nagar.
Talking to the media, MLA Darshita Shah said, “I had received several complaints regarding the breach of the Disturbed Area Act in my constituency, after which I requested the Collector to look into the matter. Following this, the search operation is being carried out in the area. An FIR will be filed against the violators, and strict action is being taken. One such case has come to light where the Disturbed Area Act has been breached, and the Police Commissioner has been informed about the case. An FIR is being lodged under the relevant sections.” DeshGujarat
