Akshay Kumar visits PM Modi’s hometown Vadnagar; seeks blessings at Hatkeshwar Mandir

Ahmedabad: Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, who is in Gujarat to attend the Filmfare Awards later today, visited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s hometown Vadnagar on this morning. His first stop was Hatkeshwar Mahadev Temple, where he offered prayers and sought blessings.

After the temple visit, Akshay said, “I was here for the award night and had heard a lot about Hatkeshwar Mandir, that it is an ancient temple. While I was inside, I noticed a wonderful thing — when it’s quiet, you can hear the light sound of ‘Om Namah Shivay.’ I don’t know if you noticed… The priest also told me that this was the first lingam to emerge on its own (Swayambhu). I had heard so much about it, and when I got the chance, I decided to visit.”

Afterwards, Akshay Kumar toured the Archaeological Museum and also visited Prerna School, where Prime Minister Modi studied during his early years. Local residents welcomed the actor with a traditional tilak ceremony.

During his visit to the Archaeological Museum, Akshay Kumar admired Vadnagar’s historical heritage and expressed excitement at the opportunity to explore the town while attending the Filmfare Awards. He also took photographs with young fans who had gathered to welcome him. DeshGujarat
