Mehsana: Avaada Group, a leading energy conglomerate, has inked an MoU with the Gujarat government to pump ₹36,000 crore into renewable power initiatives, including solar, wind, and battery energy storage projects.

The company plans to roll out 5 GW of solar, 1 GW of wind, and 5 GWh of storage capacity in the Kutch, Banaskantha, and Surendranagar districts between 2027 and 2030. This will help boost grid stability by storing and distributing green power more efficiently.

The initiative is expected to create more than 3,000 jobs, combining direct and indirect employment. “Our solar journey began with Gujarat’s first utility-scale 15 MWp plant. We are proud to deepen our partnership with the state to build a sustainable energy future,” said Vineet Mittal, chairman of Avaada Group. DeshGujarat
