BJP Announces Election Process for Gujarat State President and National Council Members

Gandhinagar: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Gujarat unit has officially announced the schedule for the election of the State President and National Council members. The announcement was made today at the state headquarters, Kamalam, in Gandhinagar. Though the detailed election process has been announced, it’s sure that the new State party chief will be elected unopposed and therefore his name will be clear on 3rd October. Tent erection for related function has already started at the State party headquarters Shri Kamalam in Gandhinagar.
According to the press release issued by the BJP Gujarat Pradesh Media Department, the party has been carrying out its organizational restructuring in the state since September 2024, in line with the BJP constitution. Following the appointment of Shri Udaybhai Kangad along with co-incharges Shri Dhavalbhai Dave and Shri Hiteshbhai Patel as Election Officers on October 18, 2024, the reorganization process at the mandal, district, and metropolitan levels has been completed.
With this, the next phase of the internal election process has begun. A total of 292 designated voters will participate in the election for the State President and National Council members.

Filing of Nominations: Friday, October 3, 2025 (11:00 am to 2:00 pm)

Scrutiny of Nominations: October 3, 2025 (3:00 pm to 4:00 pm)

Withdrawal of Nominations: October 3, 2025 (5:00 pm to 5:30 pm)

Voting Process: Saturday, October 4, 2025 (10:00 am to 11:00 am)

Counting & Announcement of Results: October 4, 2025 (11:00 am to 11:30 am)
All election-related proceedings will be held at the BJP state office, Kamalam, Gandhinagar.
