United Way, LVP Heritage Garba in Vadodara to resume on Tuesday after two-day pause
September 30, 2025
Vadodara: After being called off on Sunday and Monday, the United Way Garba Mahotsav and Laxmi Vilas Palace (LVP) Heritage Garba in the city will resume this evening, allowing khelaiyas to dance to the Garba music.
Announcing the update, the United Way organizers said, “After the pause, the rhythm rises again. With Ambe Maa’s blessings, Garba resumes tonight at United Garba Mahotsav. Let’s dance our hearts out, together!”
An Instagram post added, “With Ambe Maa’s blessings, we’re delighted to announce that Garba resumes today at United Garba Mahotsav. See you at the ground! Thank you for staying united with us! We look forward to welcoming you today.”
With sunny weather and no rainfall in the city, teams have been working since morning to prepare the grounds. Over 250 workers used pumps to remove water, rollers were used to level the field, and sand was spread on the ground to dry the surface at the United Way Garba Ground.
Similarly, at LVP Heritage Garba, underground pipelines and percolation wells have been used for drainage, while parking areas have been reinforced with sand.
Garba festivities had been called off at several major grounds across the state after heavy downpours on Sunday left the grounds muddy and unsuitable for Garba. Similar to United Way, other prominent events like Laxmi Vilas Palace Heritage Garba, Vadodara Navratri Festival (VNF) at Navlakhi Ground, and Vadodara Vibrant Navratri (VVN) were also called off on Sunday. However, apart from United Way and LVP Heritage Garba, other events resumed on Monday evening.
Now, with ground preparation completed and no rain in sight, the two most famous Garba grounds in the city are ready for thousands of khelaiyas to dance to the rhythm of Garba music this evening. DeshGujarat
