Private Bus Collides with Truck in Botad; 3 Killed, Over 20 Injured

Botad: A tragic accident occurred near Sankardi village, Paliyad, early this morning when a stationary truck was hit from behind by a private luxury bus, officials said. The collision claimed the lives of three passengers and left more than 20 others injured.
The bus was carrying around 50 tourists from Umrala village in Ranpur taluka who had gone on a two-day trip and was returning from Junagadh when the accident occurred. Among the deceased are Vallabhbhai Vashrambhai Gohil, Alpeshbhai Bachubhai Vasani, and Mukeshbhai Gohil.
Injured passengers were admitted to hospitals in Paliyad, and five serious victims were referred to Botad. Several sustained serious injuries to the head and hands.
Police have registered a case of accidental death and are investigating the incident. Preliminary reports suggest the accident occurred due to negligence on the part of the bus driver, though the exact charges against the driver are yet to be determined. DeshGujarat
