Which stations of the Ahmedabad–Gandhinagar Metro Rail service are yet to open?

Ahmedabad: The Metro Rail service running in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar is divided into four lines, each with several stations. Tomorrow, two more stations on the Yellow Line, which connects Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad to Sachivalaya in Gandhinagar, will be inaugurated. With the opening of these two stations, all stations on this line will be operational. However, the extension of this line up to Mahatma Mandir is yet to open, as the five stations beyond Sachivalaya are still under construction. Another metro station on the Ahmedabad–Gandhinagar corridor that is still under construction is Sabarmati Metro Station.

Looking at these lines individually:

Blue Line: This line connects Vastral Gam to Thaltej and is also known as the East-West Corridor. It is 21.1 km long, and all stations on this line are operational.

Red Line: Connecting APMC to Motera Stadium along the North-South Corridor, all stations on this line are operational except Sabarmati Railway Station Metro Station. Construction is ongoing here, as this station is part of the Multi-Modal Transport Hub at Sabarmati, which will integrate the Metro, Ahmedabad Bullet Train, Indian Railway network, and city bus services.

Yellow Line: This is an extension of the North-South Corridor connecting Ahmedabad with Gandhinagar. The line starts beyond Motera Stadium and will eventually go up to Mahatma Mandir. As of now, the route is operational only up to Sachivalaya, with the stations beyond it under construction. The five stations under construction on this route are Akshardham, Juna Sachivalaya, Sector 15, Sector 14, and Mahatma Mandir.

Violet Line: The shortest line of the Ahmedabad Metro, it starts from GNLU, stops at PDEU Metro Station, and connects the city to GIFT City.

In total, six stations on the current Ahmedabad Metro Rail network are non-functional as of now. DeshGujarat
