Gujarat Karmayogi Swasthya Suraksha Yojana launched; ₹10 lakh cashless treatment for govt employees

Gandhinagar: Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Monday launched the Gujarat Karmayogi Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (G-Category) in the state capital.

At a ceremony, the CM inaugurated the scheme and initiated the enrollment process, symbolically handing over Ayushman cards to beneficiary officers and employees. He also flagged off and inaugurated 94 new 108 ambulances.

The health insurance scheme covers All India Services officers serving in Gujarat, as well as state government officers, employees, pensioners, and their families. Under the scheme, government officers, employees, and their families will be able to avail cashless medical treatment of up to Rs 10 lakh, enhancing their health and well-being. The state government will spend approximately Rs 303.50 crore annually to implement the scheme.

All state employees and pensioners will receive a “G-series” AB-PMJAY-MAA card, with processing managed by the PMJAY nodal agency. DeshGujarat
