The Prime Minister performed the e-khatmuhurat of the new eight-storey building of Guru Gobind Singh Hospital, to be built at a cost of ₹525.10 crore on 1,47,617 square meters. The facility will have 2,071 beds, including 235 ICU beds, 40 modular operation theaters, trauma and emergency care, and multiple specialty and super-specialty departments such as neurology, urology, cardiology, nephrology, and more.
The building has been designed with 100% power backup, pneumatic tube systems, advanced surveillance, and modern medical infrastructure, aligning with National Medical Commission bylaws and fire safety norms.

E-Launch of Solar Power Plants

Mr. Modi also launched 17 solar power plants under the PM-Kusum Component-C Feeder Level Solarization Scheme across Jamnagar district. These projects, with a total capacity of 50 MW and an estimated cost of ₹200 crore, formed part of a larger 475 MW solarization initiative across Gujarat. One of these plants was set up at Mandasan village in Jamjodhpur taluka.

Restoration of Bhujia Kotha (Phase-1)

The Prime Minister inaugurated the first phase of restoration works at Bhujia Kotha, a 173-year-old heritage monument built in 1852. The restoration, undertaken at a cost of ₹25 crore, addressed earthquake damage from 2001 and years of environmental impact. The work included reconstruction of damaged portions, strengthening of windows and doors, restoration of stone stairs and wooden roofs, electrification, CCTV installation, and limestone flooring.

Inauguration of Railway Overbridge

Mr. Modi also inaugurated a railway overbridge near Hapa Marketing Yard, constructed at a cost of ₹41.89 crore. The 733.86-meter-long and 11.80-meter-wide bridge has eased access towards Rajkot Road, reduced traffic congestion, and provided relief to heavy vehicles from long queues at railway crossings.

Foundation Stone of Sports Complex

The foundation stone was laid for a new sports complex (Phase-1) on Khambhaliya Road at a cost of ₹41.77 crore. The complex will feature facilities including volleyball, badminton, judo, karate, kabaddi, wrestling, taekwondo, squash, and an Olympic-size swimming pool, along with gym, physiotherapy room, conference facilities, media zones, and a VIP lounge. The project is expected to complement the existing JMC-run sports complex near Ranmal Talav and promote sports culture in the region.

With these projects, Jamnagar district witnessed a major boost in healthcare, renewable energy, heritage preservation, infrastructure, and sports development. DeshGujarat
