Muslim group in Bharuch approaches administration over Jumma Masjid incident

Bharuch: Local Muslim religious leaders presented a memorandum to district collector protesting alleged incident in which Bhavesh Patel alias Muktatanand Swami entered the Jumma mosque wearing chappal.

Office bearers of Samast Muslim Samaj and Bahujan Mukti Morcha visited the district collector office and presented memorandum protesting Saturday’s visit by Hindus to Jumma mosque. Some groups have claimed that Jumma mosque in Bharuch is actually a birth place of Chakradhar Swami. The followers of Chakradhar Swami from Maharashtra do visit Jumma mosque in this connection. On 13th September this year, some pilgrims from Maharashtra paid visit to the mosque. Bhavesh Patel alias Muktanand Swami was among the visitors. Muslims have claimed that Patel was one of accused in Ajmed Bomb Blast case of year 2007 and he is on bail at present.

According to Muslims, Patel alias Muktanand Swami entered inside the mosque and also reached its terrace wearing chappal and such act has hurt sentiments of local Muslims. DeshGujarat
