Rajula: Tension prevailed in Raningpara village of Khambha taluka after a private company allegedly blocked a decades-old cart road used by farmers. The road, which connects to Sarakadiya and provides access to the fields of nearly 50 farmers, had been closed for the past two months with wire fencing and netting installed by the company.
Frustrated farmers had repeatedly approached the administration without result. Finally, they sought the help of MLA Hira Solanki, who visited the site on Saturday along with local leaders and officials from the Khambha administration.
In the presence of the authorities, Solanki directed that the road be reopened immediately. He stated that no form of bullying or pressure tactics by private entities would be tolerated. Farmers were assured that they could freely use the road to reach their fields.
“This cart road has existed since independence, and it cannot be blocked under pressure. Farmers must remain vigilant, and if such attempts happen again, they should contact us directly,” Solanki told the villagers.
Local leaders Jigneshbhai Patel, Vanrajbhai Varu, and Anandbhai Bhatt also joined the delegation, backing the farmers’ demand. The reopening of the road has brought relief to the affected villagers, who had been struggling with access to their farmland for weeks.
