September 14, 2025
Gandhinagar: The preliminary examination for 2,384 posts of Revenue Talati-Class III was conducted smoothly across Gujarat on Sunday. The Gujarat Subordinate Services Selection Board (GSSSB) organized the examination at 1,384 centers in 23 districts between 2 pm and 5 pm, with strict arrangements to ensure fairness and prevent malpractice.
More than 4.25 lakh candidates had applied for the recruitment, which was announced after nearly a decade. By Saturday evening, over 3.99 lakh candidates had downloaded their call letters, and a large number of them appeared for the exam.
For the first time, the recruitment process for Revenue Talati posts is being held in two stages. The OMR-based preliminary exam carried 200 marks, while successful candidates will appear for the main examination, which will consist of three papers—Gujarati, English, and General Knowledge—of 100 marks each. Dates for the main exam will be declared later.
Tight security arrangements, including biometric verification of candidates at entry, were implemented to avoid incidents of paper leakage. A negative marking scheme of 0.25 marks for wrong answers was also applied.
According to officials, the examination was completed without disruptions across all centers.
