Amul Dairy Board Election Sees 97% Voter Turnout; Results on Sept 12

Anand: The election for the Board of Directors of Kaira District Milk Producers’ Cooperative Union Ltd. (Amul Dairy) was held today at the Amul Dairy premises. Voting was conducted for the eight blocks and one individual member seat, with over 900–950 members casting their votes. The election saw enthusiastic participation from voters. Polling, which began at 9 a.m., concluded by 3 p.m., recording a total voter turnout of 97.48%.
Notably, out of the total 12 blocks, candidates backed by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) were declared uncontested winners in four blocks, mandating elections for the remaining eight blocks.
As per the official schedule, vote counting will begin on Friday, 12th September, in two rounds, with winners announced immediately afterward. DeshGujarat
