Monsoon Delay in Gujarat: Talukas with Lowest Percentage of Rainfall Compared to Seasonal Average

Gandhinagar: The monsoon has been delayed in Gujarat for the past two weeks, with no major rainfall recorded in the state. Due to this pause, some talukas have not received sufficient rain compared to their annual average rainfall.

According to data from the State Emergency Operation Centre, the taluka of Dhari in Amreli district recorded the lowest rainfall, at just 23.05% of its long-term average. It is followed closely by Jafrabad (23.79%) in Amreli and Becharaji (25.39%) in Mahesana, as of 6 am on August 8.
