No Heavy Rainfall likely in Gujarat till August 11: IMD Weather Forecast

Gandhinagar: For the past week, parts of Gujarat have only witnessed light showers here and there. According to the latest forecast by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the state is expected to experience similar light to moderate rainfall over the next seven days as well.
The IMD bulletin states that the monsoon trough continues to stretch from Amritsar through Patiala, Muzaffarnagar, Kheri, and Valmikinagar, extending east-northeastwards to Arunachal Pradesh near the Himalayan foothills. Additionally, a trough is persisting from northwest Uttar Pradesh to the northeast Arabian Sea, passing through south Haryana, east Rajasthan, and Gujarat at 3.1 km above mean sea level.
From August 5 to August 12, rainfall activity is expected to be more consistent across North and South Gujarat, while Saurashtra-Kutch is likely to see intermittent showers. All three regions are forecast to receive varying intensities of rainfall, mostly light to moderate, with occasional thunderstorms.

North Gujarat: Districts including Banaskantha, Patan, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Aravalli, Kheda, Ahmedabad, Anand, Panchmahal, Dahod, and Mahisagar are expected to receive light to moderate rainfall on most days throughout the week.

South Gujarat: Widespread showers are likely in Vadodara, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Dang, Tapi, Navsari, and Valsad, as well as in the Union Territories of Daman, Dadra & Nagar Haveli. 
- 
Saurashtra-Kutch: Areas including Surendranagar, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Porbandar, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Morbi, Dwarka, Gir Somnath, Botad, and Kutch, along with Diu, are expected to receive scattered rainfall, with a few districts experiencing rain more frequently. DeshGujarat
