IndiGo Ahmedabad – Diu flight grounded at SVPI Airport after ‘technical snag’

Ahmedabad: An IndiGo flight from Ahmedabad to Diu, carrying 60 passengers, had to abort takeoff this morning after a technical snag was detected. The issue arose during the aircraft’s takeoff roll, prompting the pilots to send a “Mayday” call to air traffic control and immediately halt the departure, according to an IndiGo spokesperson.
According to the spokesperson, “A technical snag indication was noticed just before take-off on IndiGo flight 6E7966 operating from Ahmedabad to Diu on 23 July 2025. Following the standard operating procedure, the pilots informed the authorities and returned the aircraft to bay. The aircraft will undergo necessary checks and maintenance before resuming operations.”
The incident involved an ATR 72-600 aircraft that was scheduled to depart from Ahmedabad airport around 11:15 am. All passengers were safely deboarded, and no injuries or untoward incidents were reported. DeshGujarat
