391.625 kg and 8986 liters of narcotics to be destroyed; MoS Harsh Sanghavi to be in Kutch

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Minister of State for Home Affairs Harsh Sanghvi will visit Kutch on 24th July 2025. He will visit Saurashtra Enviro Project Pvt. Ltd. located in Lakadia area of Bhachau taluka and witness the process of destroying a huge quantity of narcotics.
Narcotics seized in crimes registered under the NDPS Act in various police stations of East Kutch (Gandhidham), West Kutch (Bhuj) and Morbi districts will be destroyed here. After obtaining permission from the High Court for destruction of the seized items, this action will be carried out by the State Level High Level Drugs Disposal Committee and the Local Drugs Disposal Committee of the three police districts.
This action will be carried out in the presence of the Chairman of the State Level High Level Drugs Disposal Committee and members of the committee, as well as the Chairman of the Local Drugs Disposal Committee of the three police districts, at the company’s incineration plant (furnace) at M. Saurashtra Enviro Project Pvt. Ltd. using a scientific method.
Key points:
-Total 28 cases include 11 cases from East Kutch, 16 from West Kutch and 1 case from Morbi district.
– 82.616 kg of cocaine seized at Gandhidham B Division Police Station, with an estimated value of Rs. 8,26,16,00,000/- (eight hundred twenty-six crore sixteen lakhs).
– 105.428 kg of charas (hashish) seized at Mandvi Police Station, with an estimated value of Rs. 44,57,50,000/- (forty-four crore fifty-seven lakh fifty thousand).
-8986.2 litres of codeine-enriched syrup (bottle no. 89862) seized at Morbi Taluka Police Station, with an estimated value of Rs. 1,84,64,843/- (one crore eighty-four lakh sixty-four thousand eight hundred forty-three).
-Other narcotics will also be destroyed: In addition to the above cases, a total of 129.368 kilograms of narcotics seized in 25 other cases by the local drugs disposal committees of East Kutch and West Kutch districts, including ganja, cocaine, charas, mephedrone, poshdoda etc. from West Kutch and 74.213 kilograms of narcotics from East Kutch Gandhidham will also be destroyed.
