July 12, 2025
Bhuj: Chaos unfolded at Bhuj airport this morning after more than 15 passengers holding confirmed tickets for the Air India flight to Mumbai were denied boarding due to the unavailability of seats. The incident sparked anger and confusion among the affected travellers, who claimed they were left behind without any alternative arrangements.
According to passengers, the Air India flight departed without accommodating around 15 people who had booked in advance, while airline staff told them that no seats were available. One of the videos shared on social media shows distressed passengers questioning and arguing with airline staff. In the video, one man can be heard stating that he needed to reach Mumbai by 1:30 pm for his son’s appointment. Despite repeated queries, the airline reportedly failed to provide a clear explanation or assistance before the flight’s departure. When the man asked for a refund, the staff could be seen telling him to visit the website.
The incident has raised serious concerns about passenger management and transparency. Frequent flyers also pointed out that this is not the first time Bhuj airport has faced criticism, with past complaints highlighting delays in the check-in process. Deshgujarat
