Shree Ganesh Construction wins ₹3.9 crore tender for Hatkeshwar flyover demolition in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: Shree Ganesh Construction has emerged as the lowest (L1) bidder for the demolition of the Hatkeshwar flyover located in the eastern part of the city. The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) had issued a ₹9.31 crore tender for the project in May 2025 after five prior attempts failed to draw successful bids.

The technical bids were opened last month, with four companies participating, including Matte and Associates, Edifice Engineering, Shree Ganesh Construction, and Prem Construction. After evaluation by R.S. Patel & Co. (Audit Department) and the project’s design consultant, Pankaj M. Patel Consultants Pvt. Ltd., three bidders were found technically qualified. Financial bids were subsequently opened on June 30, 2025.

Shree Ganesh Construction emerged as the L1 bidder with a quoted amount of ₹3.90 crore, followed by Matte and Associates (₹8.10 crore) and Edifice Engineering (₹8.47 crore). The company has been asked to submit its demolition methodology in line with tender conditions. As per updates, Shree Ganesh Construction has begun preparing the methodology in consultation with its design consultant.

Additionally, IIT Gandhinagar was approached on July 2, 2025, via email to review the proposed demolition methodology and design.

The demolition project has a six-month completion timeline, including the monsoon period. The first month will be dedicated to preparatory work such as traffic surveys, GAD (General Arrangement Drawing) preparation, and methodology planning. The actual demolition period will be counted thereafter. DeshGujarat
