Surat: The Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Ltd (DGVCL) has announced scheduled power outages in various areas of Surat city and surrounding regions from Monday, June 23 to Saturday, June 28, between 7:00 AM and 1:00 PM. The outages are due to essential ROSS and DISS maintenance work at substations, and hence, power supply from all feeders originating from the affected substations will remain shut during the specified periods.

Officials have advised residents and businesses to plan accordingly and noted that power may be restored earlier than scheduled if the work is completed ahead of time. Consumers are also urged to install safety devices such as MCBs and RCCBs to prevent electric shocks and ensure safety during outages.

According to the official schedule released by DGVCL, several areas in Surat city and nearby regions will face planned power outages between June 23 and June 28. The affected areas include parts of Mora, Ichhapore, Althan, Bamroli, Piplod, Magdalla, and Vadod. Specific localities such as Junagam, Suvali, Rajgari, Umiyanagar Industrial Area, Bhimrad, Hazira Village, and residential or commercial zones near China Gate, LP Savani Canal Road, Agam Shopping World, and Ratan Jyoti in Vesu will experience power cuts. Industrial zones like Bhathpor GIDC, L&T Colony, and surrounding areas in Ichhapore are also included.
