Chief of South Western Air Command of IAF calls on Gujarat CM

Gandhinagar: Air Marshal Nagesh Kapoor, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C) of the Indian Air Force’s South Western Air Command (SWAC), called on Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel today in the state capital.
Air Marshal Nagesh Kapoor recently assumed charge as the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of SWAC, headquartered in Gandhinagar. He has served the Indian Air Force in various capacities and was appointed to his current role on May 1, 2025.
Air Marshal Kapoor joined the Indian Air Force in 1986. Over his 38-year-long career, he has accumulated more than 3,400 flying hours on various fighter and training aircraft, including the MiG-21 and MiG-27.
In recognition of his distinguished service, he has been honoured with several awards: the Vayu Sena Medal in 2008, the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal in 2022, and the Param Vishisht Seva Medal in 2025.
During the courtesy meeting, Air Marshal Kapoor also presented a memento to Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on behalf of the Indian Air Force. — DeshGujarat
