Vadodara: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit his home state of Gujarat on May 26 and 27. During this visit, he will arrive in Vadodara for the first time after ‘Operation Sindoor,’ carried out in relation to the Pahalgam terror attack. Preparations are already underway for the Prime Minister’s visit, with a brief roadshow themed on Operation Sindoor planned from the Airport Circle to the Air Force gate. Over 20,000 women are expected to participate, welcoming him at various points along the route.

On May 26, PM Modi will attend a program in Dahod, where he is expected to dedicate the first 9,000 HP electric locomotive from the Dahod factory. Prior to that, he will arrive at Vadodara’s Harni Airport from Delhi at 10 a.m. At the old airport terminal, soldiers from the Army, Air Force, Navy, and NCC cadets in full uniform, along with their band, will be present to give Modi a grand welcome.

The roadshow will commence around 10:15 a.m. from the Airport Circle gate, proceeding along the route to the Air Force Station gate. Approximately 15 stages will be set up along this route, featuring cultural and religious programs based on the theme of Operation Sindoor. The city BJP has organized this event, ensuring the participation of more than 20,000 women.

A preparatory meeting for the Prime Minister’s arrival was held at the Vadodara Municipal Corporation and District Collector’s office, chaired by Mayor Pinkiben Soni and Municipal Commissioner Arun Mahesh Babu, along with other officials. According to BJP sources, women from wards surrounding the Prime Minister’s route—numbers 4, 5, 6, 7, 2, 3, and 15—will participate in large numbers, with about 1,500 women from each ward totaling roughly 10,500 participants. Additionally, wards 1, 2, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, 18, and 19 are expected to send approximately 1,000 women each, adding nearly 12,000 more participants.

The roadshow is expected to last from 10:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. After Modi enters through the Air Force gate, the roadshow will conclude. Subsequently, Modi will depart from the Air Force Station by helicopter to attend the program in Dahod. DeshGujarat
