Muslim mob creates ruckus at Scheduled Caste family wedding in Patan

Patan: A violent clash broke out on Thursday night in Bhilvan village of Saraswati taluka. The incident occurred during a Dalit family’s wedding celebration, when a mob from the Muslim community allegedly attacked them with sticks and rods over the playing of DJ music.
It is alleged that the mob assaulted the family and looted their belongings when they resisted shutting down the music. Eight people were injured in the attack, leading to heightened tensions in the area.
Upon receiving the complaint, police from nearby Saraswati and Kakoshi police stations, along with the Patan Local Crime Branch and Special Operations Group, reached the scene. Based on the family’s complaint, a case has been filed against 14–15 named individuals and a mob of 400–500 others under sections related to atrocities, rioting, and loot.
After the complaint was registered at the Vaghdod police station, a combing operation was launched to apprehend the individuals involved in the attack. Several accused have been detained and brought in for intensive questioning.
The 14 individuals named in the FIR are Hafija Imtiyaz Mansiya, Asif Badarpura, Mohammad alias Tatti Amin Madhia, Abdul Wahid Nurmohammad Mansiya, Javed Bashir Marediya, Umar alias Chotli Rahim Madhia, Ovesh alias Parod Umar Madhia, Tuliyo Umar Madhia, Saeed Akbar, Mohammad Javed Marediya, Sabeda Abdul Wahid Madhia, Imtiyaz Amin Jiva, Asfaq Umar, and Mohammad Saeed Charoliya.
