Bhuj–Ahmedabad Namo Bharat Rapid Rail Partially Cancelled
May 09, 2025
Bhuj: Train number 94802 Bhuj–Ahmedabad Namo Bharat Rapid Rail, scheduled for May 9, 2025, remained partially cancelled between Bhuj and Gandhidham. The train instead originated from Gandhidham at its scheduled departure time of 6:05 hrs. This comes as Bhuj remains on high alert after multiple drone attack attempts by Pakistan were thwarted by the Indian Defence System on Thursday. A blackout was also enforced in Kutch, Banaskantha, and Patan last night following the escalation by Pakistan.
Unlike typical metro services that operate over shorter distances, the Namo Bharat Rapid Rail is designed to connect central Ahmedabad with nearby cities. It comprises 12 coaches accommodating up to 1,150 passengers, featuring ergonomic seating, fully air-conditioned cabins, and modular interiors that set it apart from standard metro systems.
The train is equipped with advanced safety technologies such as KAVACH for collision prevention, fire detection systems, aerosol-based fire suppression, and emergency lighting. The Namo Bharat Rapid Rail departs from Bhuj at 5:05 AM and arrives in Ahmedabad at 10:50 AM, completing the journey in 5 hours and 45 minutes. DeshGujarat
