Centre Announces Rs. 1271.02 crore Highway Project in Gujarat

Gandhinagar: The entire 119.50 km stretch of Porbandar-Bhanvad-Jam Jodhpur-Kalavad of National Highway-151K in Porbandar, Jamnagar and Devbhoomi Dwarka districts of Gujarat has been approved for upgradation to 2-lane with paved shoulder at a cost of Rs.1271.02 crore.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari made this announcement in his social media post.
The project road starts from its junction with National Highway-51 near Porbandar and connects Bhanavad, Jam Jodhpur and terminates at its junction with National Highway-927D near Kalavad. National Highway-151K acts as a connector between three important highways i.e. Porbandar-Khambhalia (NH-927K), Junagadh-Jamnagar (NH-927D) and Rajkot-Porbandar (NH-27).
The upgradation of this highway with grade-separated structures, 8 major bridges and 10 bypasses will provide better connectivity to the Saurashtra region of Gujarat, the Minister further announced. DeshGujarat
