April 01, 2025
Devbhumi Dwarka: Anant Ambani, Director of Reliance Industries Limited and the youngest son of Nita and Mukesh Ambani, is on a ‘Padyatra’ (pilgrimage by foot) from Jamnagar to the Dwarkadhish Temple.
During the yatra, Anant spoke to the media and said, “The padyatra is from our house in Jamnagar to Dwarka. I only pray that the blessings of Shri Ji Baba Dwarkadhish remain with everyone. The padyatra has been going on for the last five days, and we will reach in another 2-4 days. Dwarkadhish is the king of all, the Malik of all, and his blessings are giving me the strength to walk, so I am walking. May Lord Dwarkadhish bless us… I would like to tell the youth, my friends, to have faith in Bhagwan, have faith in Sanatan Dharma. Remember Lord Dwarkadhish before doing any work, and that work will definitely be completed without any obstacles. When God is present, there is nothing to worry about.”
Anant, who has established Vantara, an animal rescue, conservation, and rehabilitation center in Jamnagar, showed another example of his love for animals. While on his foot pilgrimage, he noticed a chicken cart passing by on the road. Anant Ambani immediately instructed his staff to stop the cart. He then spoke with the cart owner and driver and paid double the amount for the chickens. Afterward, he freed the birds and released them into the natural environment. He took two chickens in his hands and continued his journey on foot, chanting “Jai Dwarkadhish.”
Osman, who was transporting the chickens, said, “While we were taking the chickens to be slaughtered, Anant Ambani’s staff stopped us. They paid double the amount for 250 birds and set them free.” Another person, Rayam, in the chicken cart, added, “When Anant Saheb was walking on foot, he noticed our cart. His staff immediately stopped us, questioned us, and paid double the amount to free the birds. Anant Saheb has set a remarkable example of humanity.”
The 141-km journey, which began on March 28, is likely to take 12-13 days in total, with Anant walking 12-15 km daily. He is expected to reach Dwarka on April 8, 2025, and will celebrate his 30th birthday on April 10 with prayers and offerings at the Dwarkadhish Temple. DeshGujarat
