Narmada water to reach 20 villages in Godhra, Ghoghamba via new Sarsav Group Scheme

Gandhinagar: As part of the initiative to provide clean drinking water to every household, a new Sarsav Group Water Supply Scheme is being developed in Panchmahal district through a bulk pipeline sourced from the Narmada main canal at an estimated cost of ₹31.62 crore, Water Supply Minister Kunwarji Bavaliya stated while responding to a question in the Assembly.
Providing further details, the Minister said that the Sarsav Group Scheme will supply drinking water to approximately 82,300 residents across 20 villages, including 16 in Godhra taluka and four in Ghoghamba taluka of Panchmahal district.
As part of this project, an 11.79 MLD purification plant, two underground storage tanks, five pumping machines, 184 km of pipeline extensions, RCC water tanks in villages, and various tanks, compound walls, and staff quarters are being constructed.
