33 Gujaratis deported from USA taken to their homes from Ahmedabad Airport

Gandhinagar: Out of the 104 Indian citizens who returned from America, 33 are from Gujarat. On February 5, 2025, these citizens were brought to Amritsar Airport, where all necessary procedures for their immigration clearance and verification were completed. Earlier today, they landed at Ahmedabad Airport, from where they were safely taken back to their homes with the assistance of the Gujarat police.

An official note stated, “As per the directions of the Chief Minister, Bhupendra Patel, and the supervision of the Minister of State for Home Affairs, Harsh Sanghvi, the state government and the police department made complete arrangements, including transportation to ensure the safe return of all 33 citizens to their homes with sensitivity and care. Based on the residential details of the 33 citizens, a nodal officer was appointed by the concerned district police, under whose guidance all the citizens were safely transported to their homes in a government vehicle.”

It is worth noting that when these citizens were brought to Amritsar Airport yesterday, a DySP-level officer was deployed by the Gujarat Police Department, as per the directions of the State Police Chief, Vikas Sahay, to ensure the security and coordination of the 33 citizens from Gujarat. After completing immigration clearance and verification at Amritsar, all 33 citizens were flown to Ahmedabad via Delhi, where they arrived at 6:10 a.m. this morning. DeshGujarat
