Vadodara: Low-quality migration keeps Vadodara in the news for crime incidents. In the latest incident, three accused were arrested for creating chaos at Ratri Bazar (Night Market), where many food lovers gather at night. The three accused are Moeen, Rehaan, and Uvesh Sheikh. They are into car washing and fabrication work. They are originally from another state.
Rupal Ruparel, the owner of an ice cream parlour in the night market, was in her shop with her husband and busy dealing with a number of customers on the night of 25 December when suddenly three persons (Moin, Rehan, and Uvesh Sheikh) rushed outside her shop with sharp weapons and sticks in their hands. They damaged the food item stock and two refrigerators, causing around Rs. 50,000 in losses to Ruparel. When Ruparel asked them not to cause damage to the shop, the accused showed her a sickle (a sharp tool for farming). The accused had nothing to do with Ruparel’s shop. They had some argument over having Pani puri at another stall in the night market. A person from another shop, under threat, ran away from there and entered Ruparel’s shop. The accused chased him, but due to the rush of customers, they couldn’t enter Ruparel’s shop and broke the items outside.
Shocked by this, Ruparel said, “I have been running this shop for three years, and never before have I seen something like this. The accused came chasing a staffer of the Angry Bird shop. The police were prompt to respond to our call and arrived in just 10-15 minutes. A complaint has been filed in this case.”

While Moin and Rehan are from the Muslim-populated Kumbharwada area, Uveish Sheikh is a resident of Dabhoi road.
Among three accused, Police have so far found criminal history of Rehan who was booked in Karelibaug and Gorwa police stations in the past. DeshGujarat
