Gujarat Titans to hold IPL pre-season camp at Lalbhai Contractor Stadium, Surat

Surat: Ahead of the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL), set to begin in March next year, the home team Gujarat Titans will hold a pre-season camp at Lalbhai Contractor Stadium in Surat from January 12 to 17.
During this camp, players not participating in any tournament or league at the time, along with the coaching and management staff of the team, will be present. Players will have their practice sessions on the main ground in the evenings and will stay at the Marriott Hotel.
It is learned that this venue, with its red clay pitch and bounce similar to those in Ahmedabad and Mumbai, was chosen based on the recommendation of ICC Chairman Jay Shah. Previously, in March 2022, the Chennai Super Kings team also held their camp at Lalbhai Contractor Stadium.
The Gujarat Titans squad, led by skipper Shubman Gill, includes Jos Buttler, Kumar Kushagra, Anuj Rawat, Sherfane Rutherford, Glenn Phillips, Nishant Sindhu, Mahipal Lomror, Washington Sundar, Arshad Khan, Sai Kishore, Janat, Sai Sudharsan, Shahrukh Khan, Kagiso Rabada, Mohammad Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Manav Suthar, Gerald Coetzee, Gurnoor Singh Brar, Ishant Sharma, Kulwant Khejroliya, Rahul Tewatia, and Rashid Khan.
With the Vijay Hazare Trophy ongoing and its quarter-finals scheduled to start on January 12, players who are not part of this or any other tournament, as well as international players whose matches are not scheduled, will join this camp. The coaching and management staff will include Parthiv Patel, Vikram Solanki, Satyajeet Parab, and Ashish Nehra. Star players like Shubman Gill and Rashid Khan will also be part of this camp.
