Surat: An incident has come to light at Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, where a student attempted to tarnish the university’s reputation by bringing an empty liquor bottle onto the premises. The conspiracy is reportedly the handiwork of Vijaybhai Naranbhai Kataria, a second-semester student of the Mass Communication Department.
CCTV footage revealed that the student himself brought a bag containing an empty liquor bottle near the university’s convention hall. To escalate the controversy, the student even brought along a reporter from a news channel. Subsequently, the student and the reporter confronted the vice-chancellor, highlighting the presence of the bottles in the university premises and levelling allegations of irregularities.
Following a complaint by the university, Vesu Police have initiated an investigation into the matter. Strict legal action is being planned against Vijay Kataria for his attempt to malign the university’s reputation. DeshGujarat
