Gujarat Housing Board approves redevelopment of 11 societies in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: The Gujarat Housing Board (GHB) has given the go-ahead for the redevelopment of 11 societies, as 75 percent of the owners of these societies are in agreement for redevelopment. Against 1,880 housing units at present, the GHB plans to build more than 3,500 housing units in these societies.
The redevelopment works are presently under execution in another 54 societies. In 41 of them, the redevelopment work is in an advanced stage, while in 8, the demolition has been completed. The new redevelopment works approved cover Sonalpark, Vasundhara, Alkapuri, Pujan, Gokul, Shiv, Chitrakut, Satyam, Sundarvan, Gitanjali, Siddhi, and Nandanvan societies in the Naranpura, Vasna, Sola, Vadaj, and Pragatinagar areas.
