CM Chairs First Meeting of GRIT; MoU Signed With IIMA

Gandhinagar: The first meeting of the Governing Body of Gujarat Institution for Transformation (GRIT) was held in Gandhinagar under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel. In this meeting, the broader scope of work of GRIT and related arrangements were discussed. The newly appointed CEO of GRIT, Ms. S. Aparna, presented the initial activities of GRIT so far in this meeting.
GRIT will work as a think tank and innovation hub of the state government and in coordination and consultation with various departments will formulate an action plan for the implementation of the recommendations of the Task Force Committee appointed by the state government.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, while addressing the first meeting of the governing body, suggested that GRIT should conduct data analysis on the social impact, benefits, etc. of the public welfare schemes of the state and central government.
In the detailed discussion of this meeting, it was informed that the Growth Hub Model suggested by the NITI Aayog has been implemented for the Surat region and now GRIT should help in the institutionalized arrangement to gradually expand it to other regions of the state.
During this meeting, an MOU was signed between IIM Ahmedabad and GRIT. The objective of this MOU is to benefit from the knowledge, skills, expertise and network of IIM Ahmedabad in various important issues and schemes of the state government.
Finance Minister Shri Kanubhai Desai, Health Minister Shri Rushikesh Patel, Industries Minister Shri Balwantsinh Rajput, Agriculture Minister Shri Raghavji Patel and Education Minister Shri Kuberbhai Dindor also participated in this meeting. DeshGujarat
