Ahmedabad: The city of Ahmedabad will get an international level Convention, Cultural & Business centre. The Standing Committee of Amdavad Municipal Corporation(AMC) has approved this project today in its meeting.

The convention centre will come up on the Western bank of river Sabarmati over the plot located close to Tagore hall, Samskar kendra and Sabarmati Riverfront event centre in Paldi area. The area according to AMC’s press release will be developed as a location for destination weddings.

Parking for this convention centre will be available at nearby Riverfront Multilevel Car Parking. Further more parking space is proposed as part of the project. To address the anticipated traffic linked to upcoming convention centre, the Town Planing (TP) road linked to Ashram road will be developed by AMC.

Proposed project involves 4,000 square meters exhibition hall, 4,000 square meters convention hall, 20 meeting rooms, 1500 seater performing arts theater, 300-room hotel, a theater dome for 300-400 persons, amphitheater for 600-800 persons, cultural plaza in size of 5,000 square meter and parking for 1,000 cars.

-Ahmedabad needs a good Business and Conventional centre infra.

• Riverfront has capacity to develop this venue as Destination Wedding.

• This location is well connected with Ashram Road, Riverfront Event Centre and Existing Tagore Hall –
Sanskar Kendra campus adding value and space.
